Step 1 : Arrange a free site visit and consultation

Our designer will visit you to discuss your existing garden and determine the exact requirements for any design. Account will be taken of intended usage, preferred materials, style or theme and budget as well as a wide range of other aspects specific to your garden.

A basic site survey will be carried out. This will assess location and establish whether any elements of the present garden can be retained or modified.  Detailed dimensions are taken and aspect recorded.  Tests will be carried out to determine soil type and pH.

Step 2 : Outline design

Should you wish to proceed with the process, a fee of £150 will be charged to produce rough and final scale plans.

Firstly, our designer considers all the information to produce a rough design suitable for your garden and requirements. This is discussed and amended where possible. If necessary a second rough design can be produced.

Step 3 : Final design

Once the details have been agreed, a scaled final plan is produced. This will indicate all the elements of the design for your garden.

Any planting required will be undertaken without the use of a plan, using appropriate specimens. If an exact planting plan is required a charge of £75 will be made for its production.

Step 4 : Quotation

If you would like Softscape to carry out the landscape and construction work of your design, a detailed quotation will be provided with the final plan.

Should this quotation be accepted*, Softscape will refund 50% of any design fees paid.
